Managing Bulk Actions in the Deal Module

What are the available bulk actions in the list view, and how are they performed?

When the list view checkbox is clicked, the bulk action tray with the Send EmailAssign OwnerUpdate Field, Add/Remove Tags, and Delete options will appear.


Details of these actions are listed below,


Send Email

It refers to the feature that allows you to send emails to a large number of recipients simultaneously.

NotesNote: In the deal list view, bulk emails can be sent, with the primary email address automatically selected if a contact has multiple email addresses.

  1. Go to deal list view.

  2. Choose the desired deals by selecting the checkboxes next to their names. Alternatively, you can select all records by clicking the checkbox beside the fields.

  3. Once the recipients are selected, the bulk actions tray will appear. Click Send Email.

  4. Compose your email within the overlay. You can personalize your emails using placeholders or select a template from the provided dropdown menu.



  1. If you add an email address for a contact that does not exist in our system, then you have chosen a placeholder, and you will need to manually enter the data for that contact in the placeholder. 

  2. Finally, click on Send Separately. This will send the email individually to each contact.

  3. You can also schedule the bulk email for a specific date and time, ensuring that your recipients receive the email at the most appropriate moment.

NotesNote: Each user has a limitation of sending bulk emails up to 100 per day even if the user syncs with multiple email addresses.


Assign Owner

Assigning an owner in the CRM improves tracking and reporting by providing a clear point of contact for each lead or deal, facilitating better communication and faster resolution of issues.


  1. Clicking the Assign Owner will display the assign owner dialogue box.

  2. You can choose the user to assign the selected deals from the user dropdown.



  1. The current users will be removed and the selected user from the dropdown will be assigned to the deal.

  2. Finally click Save to update the deal.


Update Field

Updating fields in the CRM keeps your information current, reflecting the latest changes and ensuring accurate data for better decision-making.

  1. When you click on the Update Field, a dialogue box will appear.

  2. Then you can select the field you want to update from the dropdown list. 


  1. The values you provided will be incorporated into all the deals you have chosen.

  2. All deal fields will be displayed in the dropdown except for the auto-generating fields.

  3. Then click Save to update the field.



Add/Remove Tags

Adding or removing tags helps organize and categorize your data, making it easier to find and manage relevant information.


  1. The Add/Remove Tags will not display in this dropdown, if you want to update the tags you can do so from the kebab menu from the top right corner.

  1. Add Tags: Select the Tag from the dropdown menu you want to highlight.

  2. Remove Tags: There are two options All Tags and Selected Tags, select any one based on your preference.

  3. Click Save/Cancel for the action.

Export

This feature allows you to export multiple deals at once, simplifying the process of extracting deal information.
  1. Navigate to the deal list view.

  2. Select the deals you want to export by clicking the checkboxes next to their names. You can also select all deals by clicking the checkbox next to the fields.

  3. After selecting the deals, the bulk actions tray will appear. Click Export.

  4. A prompt will appear asking you to select the file format such as XLSX, XLS, or CSV for the download.



  5. After choosing the desired format, click the Export button to initiate the file generation.

  6. Finally, click Download to download the file in your selected format.



Delete Deal

Deleting a deal removes it from your records, helping maintain an organized and clutter-free database.

  1. When clicked, a confirmation pop-up will appear with the message Are you sure you want to delete the selected deals? this will remove all associated data.

  1. After selecting Delete, the chosen deals and their associated data will be deleted.

  2. If Cancel is clicked, the process will be canceled.
